About Us

The Timaru District is positioned halfway between Christchurch and Dunedin and visitors to the area enjoy long walks along the sandy beaches, beautiful views from the surrounding mountain ranges and exploring walking trails through the native bushland.

Located within walking distance of the centre of Timaru, The Hibernian Studio Apartments provides affordable studio-style accommodation - perfect for couples and solo travellers visiting the area – whether it is for a couple of nights, or a longer stay.

Renovated in 2023, all studios provide spacious modern accommodation – featuring an ensuite bathroom, kitchenette and dining facilities.  Guests enjoy access to a private garden area, guest laundry and off-street parking during their stay.  We can also assist with dry cleaning, bicycle and car hire.

During your time with us, discover the fabulous restaurants and bars that are showcasing the region’s amazing artisan food producers.  The town’s centre also features a gym and a selection of shopping options including a supermarket and bottle shop.

We love what we do and, in addition to The Hibernian Studio Apartments,  we also operate Stay Timaru and Edward Street.
